Re: 2012 NCRS International Road Tour
Seems to be hot everywhere on this road tour. Made it to Durango, CO just fine. Some of the other tours to here had a few delays today. Couple of cars A/C quit!!! Here are a couple of photos I took today. Check out the second photo, you just never know what you will see along the road. I had to do a u-turn to get that photo.

Nice and cool here (58 to 68* F) on the northwest coast. Stayed in Brookings Oregon last night - Fort Bragg CA tonight. Started in the rain this morning, although the Oregon natives insist it is not really rain, by noon the sun was mostly out. Great roads on 101 & 1, although the rain made some slides. Mother Nature always wins.

Was not lunch time, and with traffic I was following GPS closely. Had fun time today on the train ride to Silverton. Was actually cool and cloudy in the mtns. But hot again back in Durango. Some photos added today.

Re: 2012 NCRS International Road Tour
High temp today was 74 in downtown San Francisco. Most of the way along the Northern California coast it was 60-64. No A/c needed and we rolled down the windows. I saw one convertible owner (not Corvette) begin to lower his top, and thought better of it in mid-operation and put it back up.
The road today reminded me of why I wanted to do this trip in a Corvette big block. Love those hairpin turns that are posted at 15 or 20 mph.
People in California are just different is such a good way. The toll taker at the Golden Gate Bridge looked at the car and said "Z06." I said "yes sir." He said "This is your chance. You can do a burn out from here for as far as you want." A lot of car culture here.
Crossing the Golden Gate, and 101 in San Fransisco on the way to meet the California Road Tour. A short time later we had a great time at Sam's Crab Shack.

Re: 2012 NCRS International Road Tour
The road conditions can be so "iffy" that I wondered if even the flexible plastic spoiler would survive.
So... how is it in a C6?

Re: 2012 NCRS International Road Tour
The International RT group is in Cedar City UT for the night. I-15 is closed in both directions due to a wild fire. All is well and we should be able to proceed to Las Vegas in the Morning.
