Judging manual states silver with a pale greenish hue, is this argent silver or better still, does anyone have a paint code I can use? Thanks

Re: '68 wheel color
The Argent Silver color seems to be subjective for some judges. I've heard on my rims, too much silver or too much green. As Jim says, look for an original spare but that may be hard to find. I was able to find an original '70 spare tire and brought it to a paint supplier and he matched the color the best he could but it still lost points. The latest judging on my car said the rims were too shiney. Sorry I do not have the formula but you probably could do better anyway. You might want to try the paint that Corvette Central or Paragon sells. Just be prepared for a few points (1 or 2) taken off. Maybe someone else will have a better way to match the color.

Re: '68 wheel color
Brian,
It is my experience the EARLY 68 wheel color is the same as 67. My original 68 spare wheel compared to my 67 original spare wheel look the same color. Just argent silver no green hue at all that I can see. The finish (both 67 & 68) is dull, flat not shine at all. Now GM may have changed the color mix later in the build, I can't say.- Top

Re: '68 wheel color
Here are some photos of a spare rim and tire as you can see has a very low luster. They are of a 1972 straight silver color no green hue.
