    Rochester Regional

Many thanks to the members and friends who put on the Rochester Regional this weekend. It was a really nice event. I enjoyed seeing friends and taking the time to socialize. Our cars brought us to the hobby but friends keep us there. Congratulations to my buddy Gene Leonard for scoring 99.3 on his first time out on his beautiful '65 big tank car. Congratulations also to Greg Thompson for achieving his PV on his beautiful '66 coupe--both members of the Kansas City Chapter. Nice going guys.

Hey Tony, It was good to see you. I agree, many thanks to all North Central Chapter members that helped make this another great meet. Great cars and great people! (Sorry, I know NCRS said this first but it is appropriate!) Don H.

Chamber of Commerce weather, great facilities, nice hotel...throw in the people and cars and you have a great event. I thoroughly enjoyed myself for the whole 27 hours I was there.

I look forward to future Rochester NCRS events. Thanks to all the folks who do the work so a slug like me can just show up and have fun.

Based on the phone calls I received while I was still hospitalized (and I don't remember all of them I was so drugged up) I know many people were concerned. It was a rough week and I am not yet out of the woods. My life will change a lot over the next six months (no driving or drinking). The drugs I am on are nasty and I will have to make repeated lab and doctor visits to get them properly adjusted. Even at that they have the potential of some very nasty side effects. My future will be unpleasant for quite a while. It is comforting to know y'all are concerned.

There were several funny aspects to events that I don't wish to share this publicly, but you in particular will get a kick out of some of them.

I hope you're feeling better soon. I got the low down this evening through certain unnamed sources.
As you know, I'm ready to help next week if needed.

I know you are ready, likely from the same unnamed sources. At this point my intent is to judge the ten cars. We will see if I can accomplish that. I expect my wife would prefer you watch me for any unhealthy indicators. She has been quite protective since the 3rd.

Tony, it was great to see you and many other friends at the Rochester Regional last weekend. My dad and I had a great time. It's too bad he had to park his beautiful 2000 red coupe next to such a dumpy lookin' L88......... (kidding, of course)
