Thanks to all for the help.

The one that's 1-5/16" wide was used for 1969-71 350 cid engines with 4 barrel carburetors EXCEPT LT-1 and L-46.

Joe, the tab in your picture is painted. May I ask your opinion as to whether they were painted at the factory?

            Steve,

The 3947712 balancer measures 1 11/16" wide and is usually stamped "7712" along with a date code. GM # 3947712 was replaced with 6272224 in July 1972.
            My 3947704 balancer measures about 1 3/8" in width and is stamped "7704" and "B9F" (Feb. 1969). I also have a "7704" balancer dated "AS0" from a 1970 Monte Carlo. GM # 3947704 was replaced with GM # 6272222 in July 1972.

            Dave
