Has anyone experienced this problem? I locked the doors, and later opened them with the key. Once back inside the car I attempted to get out by pulling back the Door opener (Ball). Nothing happens, it just moves back and forth. I have to use the outside push button to open the door. This has happened several times, and only after first locking the door. Does anyone know what's causing this and how to fix it? Thank you...Herb Evans

Re: '67 Drivers side door opening Knob.
Herb, I have never had this problem on a corvette but have experienced the problem on other GM cars. It sounds like the rod that actuates the inside door opener is not connected. To find out for sure you have to take the interior door panel off.- Top

Before you take the door panel off, try turning the inside lock knob to the full lock position then to the full unlock position.Avatar--My first ever vette, owned 3X since 1977, restored 1993-2024. Top Flight Award 9/14/24- Top

Re: '67 Drivers side door opening Knob.
Herb,
I just put my 67 doors together after taking everything out of them and it sounds like you need to adjust the rod.
They have bends in them that straighten out or just get worn alittle (hole).
You can tighten them by increasing the bend if that's the problem.
