The battery is located on the left with factory C60. Look back at the first photo Richard posted and you will see the typical right side battery location is full of A/C related parts...the fan and evaporator box use up all the space on the right and so the battery is on the left.

So that means my car did not originally come from the factory with air, as mine is on the right side right behind the radiator overflow resivour.

Yea, your cable is probably not long enough. Get a 25" negative battery cable and ground it under the starter bolt.
