Keith, here is what I have for assembly line correct reference pictures in my files for a 67. I always look for the blue wire to be robins egg blue.

      Re: 1967 Parking Lamps

Keith, sometime around 10/65 the part number became 910552 which was used through MY 67 and as the NOS item. So these should available with a little searching. The wire colors will not pass judging for a 67. Well a little slow, the above are the colors! I have not seen that combination of colors before, are they production lights - well we are dealing with corvettes so it may be possible. The markings on the rear of the bezel are not what I would expect to see, look to right side - the mfg (?) markings normally do not appear. Unfortunately I got a Win7 machine and all my photo are no longer available for posting at present And here is the NOS, note production has no tag

I have a pair of what I thought were NOS and now I am beginning to wonder. Wiring is: Purple, white and light gray. JD

About what time frame did the repros come on the market?

Hey Gary, this one is my set! I was lead to believe in an earlier thread that they are NOT correct.

Anyone know what the answer is? I bought these as original and having come off a car prior to restoration. They age and "crustiness" lead me to believe they are the real deal.

            Thoughts?

              Re: 1967 Parking Lamps

I have many pictures of original parking lights for 65, 66 and 67's and all I have show purple, white and robins egg blue for wire colors. From what I have seen, those wire colors changed over the years with over-counter ones. I usually judge the exterior section and have seen many different wire colors on the judging field.
Here are some more pictures of what appear to be original park lights all showing purple, white and robins egg blue...the last three are from Bowtie cars:

I guess there is no particular order of wire colors in the plastic tube crimp.

I have heard the color description of "aged" original front parking light wires as: purple, vanilla & teal - seems to be a very accurate color description from my observations.

                    Gary,
Those are the typical colors and should get all the points.
However for 65/66 especially the colors can & are often different One often can see one wire (ground) outside the cover.

The differences of C2 lights are great. As for the order of wires exiting the cover - there is none, what maters is how they enter the plug!

This pair was taken off a 67...during an NCRS meet while the owner wasn't looking. (Disclaimer: that was a joke)
