    Ignition key warning switch

I have renewed the ignition key warning switch located inside the steering column twice over the last couple of years and the problem keeps coming back, i.e. when I remove the key and open the drivers door, the buzzer does not shut off. (If I play with the ignition key housing, it will stop...sometimes!). I suspect that I need a new ignition key warning switch. Does anyone know of a source for these switches?

    Thanks
    Terry

Terry, as of a couple years ago Dr. Rebuild had NOS C3 tele/tilt and standard column switches. I'm not sure they still have 'em but give them a try. Sounds like your plastic housing is cracked, which is pretty common with age.

Check Corvette Central I believe they carry the repro Lectric Limted one. It fit and works fine in my 78

If you have replaced the key buzzer switch and the problem persists, than I would take a look at the ignition lock cylinder. The small plastic key buzzer tab on the cylinder may be sticking.
