    1967 seat belt label location

I have been researching the correct location to place new seat belt labels. In my search on corvette forum and images on the internet I am a little confused. I'll try to explain. 1. On the driver side retractor I found an image that shows the label facing the seat at the end of the retracted belt. In other word, only visible when you extend the belt fully and it show the label upside down. The "GM" at the bottom. (See image). However, when I look at my seat belt I can see a clearly faded portion on the belt that faces the outside. 2. The buckle portion appears to be located facing the seat about 3" up from the end with "GM" at the top. (See second image) Can anyone help me clarify this? If I go to the extent of adding the labels I would like to make sure I stitch them in the right place.
    Thanks

Are both pictures the same belt? Driver side? If it is, it would be facign the inside with the GM facign down. Is that correct?
      Thanks,

My original red 67 belts restored...they had the original labels before resto and labels were replaced as they were on them originally. Looks like labels were sewn on the same side of the belt the overlap cross stitching was sewn.

The black belt is of a bowtie car and shows the inboard belt with label facing the seat...not sure if that was standard direction, but give you an acceptable way to face the label.
As for the outboard seat belts, I have many pictures of original belts with labels facing towards the seat for what that is worth.
