Roy, what is the quickest turn around time? I ask this to assist in the buying process. If a person is looking at a car to purchase and needs to make a rather quick decision, is there a minimum time to get a reply? Is there a phone call or email short path?

Harry, there currently is an expedited service offered for the additional charge of $40.00, which will get you an email response within two to three days and the official document mailing the next time documents are processed. This can actually become unavailable at certain times, in those cases we issue a refund. A perfect example was the recent Barrett-Jackson event followed immediately by the Orlando Regional we refunded any expedited Award Confirmation or expedited Document Validation Service request ordered during that time frame.

In my own case I would like to have it on both my Top Flight cars but would ABSOLUTELY REFUSE to pay $600 for it over the principle if nothing else. None of my collectible vehicles are for sale and collecting documentation is about the hobby rather than the dollars.
I know of no process that would allow us to charge a different fee for the same service, and would go one step further and say that NCRS never intended for the service to be used by those that already had the awards.

We have completed 100's of these reports not dozens, and frankly as a one man office I'm personally not interested in 10X the number we have already processed. It was not intended as a high volume money maker it was intended as a service for those that needed it.

Roy, more to Norris' original point, why is the fee for the Award documents so much more expensive than the Delivery documents?

Wow, just "2 hundreds" at $300. would be 60 thousand dollars in revenue. Sounds like a pretty big money maker to me. 'Zackly how many "hundreds" are we talkin'?

Is there any available service available where a lost or damaged certificate can be duplicated to the original member who had a car judged? I have at least 2 Top Flight certificates MIA, plus a PV and whatever was given with it. Not sure if it's the result of cleanup after squirrels in attic, carelessness during two moves, or poor organizational skills. At least 3 TF's and a PV in the past on only one framed and hangin' on the wall.

              Pat,
Couple of things here; as I have said before the Board of Directors establishes these prices not me, the Award Confirmation Document was never intended to be a high volume service, owners have no need for the documents if they have the awards, the Shipping Data Service and Document Validation Service was intended to be a high volume service and the pricing was established jointly by GM and NCRS.

Norris, Willard, Maichael, Pat, Brian, James, Wayne, Loren,
I interpret (correctly/incorrectly??) Roy's responses as: "Look after your original awards or be prepared to cough-up big $$ as penalty for your carelessness". I guess the up-side is that at least the service exists....
I think I'll go and photocopy my awards and put them in the safe with my other important and 'expensive-to-replace' docs (I note it's cheaper to replace my passport in 48hrs.......)
                  Gary.
