    Michael,

Yes, the horns are date coded, it's not always easy to read the numbers and letters clearly. The horns (including date code info) are described on p. 132 of the 1967 Judging Guide.

As said above, they can sometimes be hard to read. On mine, when I took the first one off, I couldn't decipher the date. When I removed the second one, it became obvious how it was done, and I could read the date on the first.

Thanks guys, i guess my next question is: does anyone have date coded horns for March 30, 1967 production.

I would contact Joe Perri. Do a search as it should have his number, great guy!

Here's a pair off an early '65; horns butted together. Believe #'s are same for '67 (ie. 487, 488). These are dated 4G3, 4H4. [year month week].

What were the typical headmarks for the bolts that attach the horns on a 67. Also usual finish and type of washer used. Tx.

                  Joe -

It's the same bolt used to attach the upper end of the starter brace to the block - zinc-plated 5/16"-18 x 5/8" with a captured external-tooth star washer.

Give Dennis Portka a call. I don't have his number handy but he advertises in the driveline and hemmings.
