Dave's Response: "I do not have the original. Just a photocopy which is nice but certainally not an original. It is really useful for people to see what was on one of these as I have never seen a copy or an original over the years. I am about to put up some 54 Chevrolet Corvette factory items, 57 Welcome & owners kit pieces and a 58 welcome kit piece with 1958 on it. (I've been collecting for 20 years and have never seen one of these)and have some original documentation ((dealer invoice and warranty folder) for a 57 Fuel Injected vette.
I'm just trying to decide how to list them. I can email you if you think you may have some interest.
Like you I have a 20 year collection of Corvette and Chevrolet paper and other items which I'm thinking of selling off.
Thanks for the inquiry, Dave Strickland."

How do my items have no real value? Did I sound like the Guru of paperwork? Why would you be very cautious of me?

Maybe because we have the same types of paperwork for sale...
    Scott,
You quote one email about a photocopy of a 1957 Shippers copy.
You forgot to reference my email(s) regarding my 54, 57 and 58 owners Kits and related paperwork. I have no interest in comparing collections. Mine is put away with an occassional item being offered for sale.
Please tell the entire story when you take exception to a members sattement.

I agree. Like most of you................I have no dog in this but IMO I don't see anything wrong with what Scott is doing. He has spent years collecting something of value and has decided to sell it. I've followed his thread on the Corvette Forum in the C2 section and whenever he posts a new list for POPs found members respond. Just like anyone else selling Corvette related items at BG, Carlisle or any NCRS meet it is Scott's right to do so. If my found my 67 POP I probably would have contacted him. Good luck in your sales Scott.

            FORTUNATE OR LUCKY

Both were on my side in August of 2010 when Scott Oliver emailed me, just as I was getting ready for Hot August Nights in Reno. In that email he said he had my "ORIGINAL WARRANTY BOOK WITH POP ALONG WITH A PRE-DELIVERY INSPECTION CARD AND THE NEW VEHICLE INSPECTION AND ADJUSTMENT SCHEDULE", with the dealerships name and the STOCK number for the dealership item, I was skeptical and said i would call him back after the HAN show in Reno.
So a few days after getting home i called and talked about what he had, price was not discussed at that time, i want to see what he had and had him email me some
            pictures.

Stepping back a few years now, I HAVE NEVER PUT THE ORIGINAL OWNER NAME OUT ON THE NET.
The only info that I posted and where i posted was on the C-2 registry and was the VIN number and that was it for i had know other info about my car at the time.

Stepping back even further to June of 2009, some GM employees seen my car at a local show and seen my Signage for the car and seen that my car was from the dealership that they both worked at for 9 years at the time my car was there and one of them was the fella that did all the PDI's on all cars delivered. The other fella was the service/parts manager.

Stepping back even further to June of 2008, the ORIGINAL OWNER happened to approach me at a local car show and said, he used to own MY CAR, now i thought this was just a fella trying to start a conversation, and then he started to describe some incidents that I thought only I knew of, because i have owned this car since 1974, it piqued my interest and we went on to talk for hours about the car and who he sold it to and I relayed the people i knew owned prior to me and made the connection.

            Now back to the >>>PAPERWORK<<<

Scott emailed the pictures to me, i forwarded them to the GM guys to verify some signatures and also emailed a copy of the WARRANTY BOOK WITH POP that had O.O. wife's signature on the service part of booklet, to the owner to verify his signature.

From start to finish this took about 3 months before i decided to make the purchase.
Now my car is not NCRS material, but for me it tied all the loose ends together on and about my car.

Scott is a standup individual and would not, in my opinion try and sell bogus crap. I would and still will trust this individual.

If anyone wants to talk to me about my experience personally contact me on my email at....

Put POP in the subject line...
