I've seen pictures of many C2 A6 compressors with either round holes or rectangular holes in the pulley/clutch device. Which is correct or are both correct? I haven't been able to turn up anything conclusive in my archive search. I remember reading an article in the Restorer some time ago, but can't remember which issue it was in. As always, thanks. AL

Re: C2 Compressors Round or rectangular holes
I assume you are talking about '67s. I can't offer an answer for that model year, but up to (at least) September of '64 (based on back head '302' casting date) the 8 round holes are the rule, rather than the 3 elongated rectangles. Others should be able to say if this continues into the '66 and '67 model years. Problem is, most clutches have been replaced over the last 40+ years.I've seen pictures of many C2 A6 compressors with either round holes or rectangular holes in the pulley/clutch device.
