Block casting date vs car build date

I remember reading the engine date is usually within 2 weeks of the cars build date but I can't remember if they were talking about the engines ASSEMBLY date on the front pad or the casting date on the rear of the block.

so what is typical for the cars build date (birthday) vs engine casting date (rear of block) and assembly date (front pad)?

My 1965 generally falls within the two week window --- mid May engine assembly from pad data and June 1st production date for car.

For my 63 - Block Cast 4/5, engine assembly 4/15, car build date 4/20.

My 67/427/435 cast date is Jan 26th , build date feb 23rd and car build March 2nd

If you analyze the data..... When an engine is a higher price option such as fuel injection or a 427 the greater the time between casting to engine build and car build date. When the engine is a standard engine the lesser the time between casting and car build date. They had to have the engines available even if they sat waiting for an order.

Thanks guys, my casting date is June 4th 58 and the cars build date is july 15th 58. I guess it was the assembly date they said was usually 2 weeks because casting vs build date looks to be around a month from what I see, mine included.
