    get a "boot" seem to work pretty good on TV.

        I used to have a boat. When I lived in a typical modern suburban neighborhood (postage-stamp lot, garage in front, short driveway), I hired a contractor to cast into an expanded concrete driveway a couple of galvanized eye-bolts. I ran cables through the wheels and trailer to lock it down to the slab. I'd use the same cables to tie the trailer to tree or something when away from home. Later I moved to a house with parking in back behind a locked gate.
