C1 (1960) door glass tape - has someone does theirs recently?

I have new glass for my door windows and have two different type of tape.

One set from Corvette Central looks like it has some sort of fabric on one side and neoprene on the other side with seems to be some adhesive on the neoprene side. It actually looks more like what was on the old glass, but the old glass was not original, it had a 68 date on the glass.

The other glass tape is from ZIP and it looks to be solid neoprene.

The other difference is there is a slight difference in thickness, the CC tape is .068 and the ZIP is .063

Which one is correct, or if it doesn't matter, which one will be easier to work with.

    Thanks,

    Don

The tape is used on my 62 was the solid neoprene. I would think the adhesive would make it harder to install and certainly is not needed.

    Good luck

There isn't much adhesive on the tape. I thought it might be easier to use if I could get it to sort of stick to the glass then lubricate the outer with soapy water to get it to slide into the frame. I have soft faced large wood clamps to help force the glass into the frame.
