68 Battery Compartment Drain Plug

Should there be a drain plug on the bottom or is the plug the same as the other floor pan plugs.( black, flat with no markings) I have heard there is a vented black plug with a number 2 on it. About 2" long . Thanks in advance guys . Jeff

I purchased two that are supposed to be authentic . When I receive them I'll be glad to post pics. I have to do a little more research on my 68 march build. The plug is missing. Not sure if it should be vented or did it have the flat plug. Sorry Kurt, I'll try again. Jeff

It is the vented plug that's ABOUT 2" in length. Dr. Rebuild sells a perfect reproduction.

Where these plugs installed with any adhesive ? The AIM showed no cement added.
