I need a little help. Can anybody tell me what these clips are used for? I was told they were for a mid-year car.

Any input would be appreciated.

Monte, The one on the right appears to be a tunnel insulation retainer.

Those tunnel insulation retainers were used on 1968-1972 (and probably later as well, but I don't know nut'in' 'bout them).

Aluminum rivets through the two holes to hold them to the fiberglass and then the tunnel insulation was pushed onto the points and the points bent over so that they cut your hands when you reach in there.

The clip on the left looks to me to be a hood insulation retainer clip on a steel bodied car. Probably a Mopar.

The transmission tunnel insulation clips were used in mid years also. They are rivited to the fiberglass tunnel. The insulation gets pushed on and the clips get folded over to retain the insulation.

My 63 did not have insolation in the tunnel, so I did not get the chance to use then on that car.
