    Re: Lectric Limited Plug Wires

I bought my wires about 3yrs. ago. They were acting up, missing and arcing out within a few weeks. I was going crazy assuming new parts were good to go. So after a look at the wires while letting the motor run in the dark showed all the problems. I forget what wires I have on the motor now, as I just hit the key and enjoy the car. This '62 is all original along with the ignition set up. So it is not like I am throwing a zillion volts through it. Anyway the LL wires are back in their original box and can by viewed as "garage art".

Has anyone tried the spark plug wires available from Hal Houghton, at Classic Preservation?

The LL wires lasted a total of 200 miles on my 66 390 HP before causing problems two years ago, reverted to the ones on the car 20 years ago, those mallory kinda things and we can attest the need for speed is not compromised.

Bill, where is that dog with the ink?

Same problem on my LL 62 dated wires with all stock ignition. They appeared to work for a few hundred miles then I had a plug fouling. Ended up getting another set and similar problems. I could even see arcing between wires in the dark. I left them on for judging and have since removed them with some "similar stock looking" black pertronix ones and it runs great including a much smoother idle.

They are now in my box called Judging stuff.

Has Lectric Limited commented on these issues. Denials from them?
