    Thanks for the picture. How far does your steel line go? All the way to the gauge or does it stop at a bracket as described in the JG? The oil line description is on page 68 of the RD (purple cover) edition of the JG.

    Hi John,

    The oil line is metal as it enters the firewall. I would think that it is all metal to the gauge too.

      Thanks for the info. Your car doesn't match what the JG says either for 68 but it least it is close to what is hsown in the AIM. One more question for you. Does your car have the clip (item 10) shown on page L36 A5 in the AIM?

        Hi John,

        Sorry for the delay on this reply. My engine was restored in 2006 and the clip may have been removed by the engine rebuilding company. It is not there now. The oil line currently runs in a clip (barely visible in picture) on the firewall.
