    68 Coupe Carpet Question

I'm replacing the carpet in my 68 coupe and I threw out the old carpet as it had mold on it. The new carpet didn't come with a pre-made hole for the headlight dimmer switch on the driver side floor. Can someone help me out here and advise if I just need to cut a hole or is it supposed to be a manufactured hole with trim sewn around it. I got the carpet from Al Knoch. Thanks in advance.

(I know, never throw anything out)

Unless you have something I have not seen, there is NO hole for the dimmer. There should be a hinged hard plastic piece over the dimmer switch. The carpet covers the plastic piece and you just press on the carpet to dim the lights.

I'm missing the plastic piece. Thank you for the reply as that now makes sense. Mark
