My cable was stuck in the transmission speedmeter gear. I cut the cable and unscrewed the gear assembly from the transmission housing. I don't see how the plastic gear separates from the metal assembly housing, and I haven't been able to get the cable stub out of the fitting. Advice?
What is the gear assembly called, or what is the GM part number so that I can find a replacement?
The parts catalog lists a replacement cable under category 4.342 as PN 1562669 and states the cable length to be 63 5/8 inches. The cable and casing are listed as PN 1567793 with a cable length of 68 5/8 inches. My housing measures just over 57 inches in length. Is my existing housing correct?
