Be careful about perfomance claims. There is a reason they call it anti-freeze (although it also inhibits corrosion) and not anti-overheat. The cooling property of the coolant is from the water. The Xerex is not helping you run cool in 110 weather. That is why the coolant addiditive "Water Wetter" is apply named. It changes the surface tension of the water to enhance surface contact and heat exchange.

Zerex G-05 as well as many other coolants are sold as a concentrated glycol mix AND are also sold already pre-mixed with purified water as a "ready-to-use" coolant solution.....no need for dilution by the consumer/car owner.

The purified water is likely reverse osmosis (RO) purified as opposed to distilled. Costs are less and same or better purity is obtained.

The concentrated G-05 glycol liquid is a pale yellow color. The pre-mixed 50/50 version is almost clear in color.....and was probably the one you were refering to. However both darken with time and heat.

Commercial antifreezes already have surfactants. Water Wetter is only useful for cooling systems that run straight water, which is pretty much limited to race cars, so a spill doesn't mess up the track with slippery ethylene glycol that doesn't evaporate... a total waste of money on a car the runs an antifreeze-water blend.
