I believe that David Crane's reproductions of these valve covers are perfect or, at least, near-perfect. You can see them at:

    http://www.cranescorvettesupply.com/...k-Valve/Detail

They are as close to perfect so far, but for 73-74, they are missing a bracket near the pcv hole on drivers side, and no reinforcement groove as on the 74. For 72? Maybe. But if you are looking for PERFECT I'd hold out for originals. Someone could write a book as to all the differences in in 65-74 BB covers.

The ones pictured on their web-site are not all of the variations they offer for the 72-74 period, they are just one of the 72-74 variations. Whether they offer every variation, I do not know.

        Lynn,

The valve covers on my 1972 LS5 (January, 1972 production) matches the valve covers in Bill Chamberlain's photos.

          Lynn,
I am sure you have settled this, but mine are the same as Bill's also. I have a 72,454, 4-speed , A/c car built in April.
