Re: 67 L79 Oil Consumption
Just wanted to get back to anyone who communicated with my oil consumption issue. Duke Williams was correct early on as it was related to the valve train including poor workmanship, oversized guides and improper seal choice by the machine shop. There were many other issues which resulted in a complete rebuild of the motor. The oil issue was a blessing in disguise as everything was properly machined or replaced except for the valves, and cam. A very expensive learning experience. I appreciate everyones input and just wanted you to know that the issue was solved and fortunately the original block and components were saved. I had the engined dynoed this time and the oil level is constant and the plugs are dry. Beware who you hire and thanks for all of the input.
