1960 Parking Brake Adjustment

A couple of questions please.

I assume you adjust the rear brake shoes firsat for proper drag then adjust the parking brake cable.

The 1960 Assembly Manual describes a 25-35 ft lb tension on the T handle when pulling, but doesn't describe how to adjust the front cable and two rear cables. I can pull the rear cables and feel a detent where I assume is the point where the shoes begin to expand, but again not sure of the front cable for proper adjustment.

Any assist is much appreciated.

Thanks, I have the AIM and th 59-60 passenger car shop manual. Is the ST-12 specific to the 60 Vette?

Can you send page 5-3 where drag adjustment info is continued?

Jim, ST-12 specific to C1 Corvettes. If you working on C1's you really need the ST-12 Corvette Service/Shop Manual. Gary....

James, I have a 60 that I've been restoring. If you are doing any work yourself you need the ST-12. the actual title is 53-62 Corvette Servicing Guide, and you can order here in the NCRS store.
