Attn: Joe Lucia/Smog Pump Pulley Number

This may possibly apply to Corvettes.

    Joe:

Replacing my Smog Pump Pulley for my original 69 Z28. I am putting on
#3932458 which I'm told is the correct one. The one I'm taking off is
#0610159 which looks the same and has the "Deep Groove" on it. Do you
have a record of where the #0610159 was used or is it a replacement
    pulley? Thanks in advance.

I can find no record of a pulley with a GM part number of 610159. However, it's possible that such a part existed. If it did, it was a TRUCK part number (i.e. medium duty or larger truck).

      Joe:

Is it typical of a truck smog pump pulley to have the deep groove on them?

I'm not familiar enough with these MD/HD truck parts to say. Does this pulley with part number 0610159 have a "GM" embossment anywhere on it? If not, this may be some sort of aftermarket piece.

          Joe:

When I get it off I'll take a picture of it and post it for all to see.

Joe: Here is some pictures of those pulleys. Any clues from them?

The GM #3932458 is easy. It was used for 1969 L-46 as well as later applications with C-60.

The other pulley I can't say. It's obviously an AIR pump pulley and it looks to be a GM pulley. However, I have no record of that part number. It's definitely not a Chevrolet part number (but could have been used on Chevrolets).
