Just a local mechanic replace all the strut rod bushings and reinstalled said assemblies. My question is, are there any special reassemble instructions needed that affects ride height?

Shouldn't these be tightened at ride height, just like other suspension bushings? I believe failing to do so will affect ride height.

I don't think it will significantly affect ride height but it will definitely affect the durability of the bushings. All of the fasteners associated with the strut rods should only be tightened with the suspension normalized.
