    Repobrake and fuel liines

I bought lines for my 70 and the front to rear brake line armor stops short of where my original is. My original goes to about two inches of the front. The repo is about 2 foot from the end. My buddies 69 is like the repo and does not have the front clip. Mine had the front clip which is the same clip as the others which makes it sized for the armor.
The maker of the lines is sendiing me one like my original but seemed surprised and said they had not had any complaints about this before. So does your lines have the armor all the way to the front less 2" and do you have a clip at the very front and what year is the car?
You can see the shiny place ini my pic where the first clip is.
Another issue is the front to rear fuel line had about a foot of armor on it and my original had none. It was easily removed though.

Keith, if you can purchase a section steel line with armor on it, just cut the line at the end of the fitting and slide on some more armor, and re-flare the end.or just clean up the old armor and re-use. it will slide off.

I am enjoying it. I also found that some of my clips were turned different than the AIM shows. The rear ones on the brake and fuel where it turns up at the kickup have the bolt outboard of the line. I double checked my pics from before disassembly and pput them the way they were even though it is not like the AIM.
I am going to look at the 70,72 and 69 AIMs again. I believe there are differences on the page 5 B2. And when I was looking at the three cars, (my buddies 69 is in my shop), the cars were different from each other and the AIMs.
Terry, I will look at the lines for the pressure switch and compare them to my originals.

          Keith,

If it helps, my early Feb. '70 has the same line like the one you removed from you car.

Kurt, I assume yours has the clip at the front. Mine did but it's not in the AIM. My buddies 69 didn't have the clip and it is in the 69 AIM. But in 69 AIM it was a different clip than the more rearward ones I assume because the armor didn't go where it was and made a smaller clip necessary. In addition to that my 72 is just like my 70 and the clip is in the 72 AIM.

              Keith,

Yes my '70 has the clip as yours. I checked my buddy's '72 that I'm doing work on and it too has the original lines and they are the same as yours.

Thanks. I got my new line today. The Right Stuff made me another with the armor all the way and onlty charged shipping.
Terry, my three short lines at the pressure sswitch all have armor as did the originals. One had the armor a little shorter but I don't think enough to worry about.

                  Keith,

Sorry this took so long. Wildwood Regional and the need to work to make up for the time I took off interfered.

My brake line looks like the used on in your first post. It has the armor all the way around the bend and a clamp at the frame, right in front of the steering gear box. Mine is an A29 build date on the trim tag, #2161 It was not so easy to get a good picture, but this is the best one of the bunch.
