Most meets do the OPS section first. That team would not know if the side pipes were factory installed or not. Is there some step for the Chassis judges or the Tab team to go back to the OPs judging results to revise the score if it is determined that the side pipes were not original?

Bill Wilhelm's initial post on this thread recounts an example of where the OPs people were not informed in a timely manner that the side pipes were an issue, so this scenario clearly happens and I've experienced the same situation as a chassis judge. I've also experienced the situation where the chassis teams found the added side pipes and we told the Exterior team who had to go back and redo their judging sheets and then review the Exterior sheets a 2nd time with the owner.

These problems do happen and they suggest better coordination among the 3 relevant teams and the team leader.

Obviously if there is a system to deal with this scenario, it doesn't work quite well enough.
