Re: 1958 fuelie on ebay
Hard to tell, but if I were to advertise it I would include some closeups of the signs that it actually was a FI car, and also a description of what is in the boxes in detail. I see a lot of $$$ that are unique to a '58 that are not mentioned in the ad.Bill Clupper #618- Top

Re: 1958 fuelie on ebay
It's worth whatever someone is willing to give. Just a year ago at a local estate auction a long owned local '60 big brake fuelie sold for $28000. It had been a drag car since the mid '60s and had a Dana rear end, no engine or trans. It also had the original Tasco Turquoise paint and was straight and solid as they come including original hardtop. The owner switched to a Camaro around 1970 and this car sat inside and well protected but never moved since. Pro-Team was the winning bidder in a very active exchange.
Prices haven't improved any in the last year to speak of. I'd say that right now it is getting near value. Maybe a couple thousand more.

Re: 1958 fuelie on ebay
Here is some info on the 58 from the seller. It does include the hood and trunk irons.
I agree with Paul, it's at or near the right price for a project missing some important parts.
The seller states it has a "perfect body", with a repair on one 1/4 panel.
I guess that makes it not perfect.....
I have the Correct 58 hood and trunk with irons ....The hood prop is on the right side ..on radiator support ......(early car ) it has the correct original air cleaner plate ..and the correct holes on right side for the washer system .....and is a 250hp fuel car .....all the parts to the car is in the boxes .....complete car ...excluding motor and trans ..

Re: 1958 fuelie on ebay
Wow that is an unbelievable price!!!!!
I should put my '56 on eBay and start the bidding at $65K!!!
Honestly though, I would like to think that the winning bidder already has a date correct engine/trans/FI already in his pocket if it's going for that much! Talk about the seller being at the right place at the right time! I could only wish to be that lucky!- Top
