looking for any help on information replacing drip rails.

David, Are you talking about the metal gutters around the edges of the door opening, on the body?

Yes I have a 63 with some rust on both lower ends. should I replace the complete rail or just repair the sections?
I googled drip rails and found a site with nos for $1100.00 a pair. Seems like a lot.
Any advice you can offer would be great.

I just replaced a set on a 63. The repos looked and fit very nice and were way cheaper.They are really quite easy to replace. Drill the pop rivets at the front and then spot drill the spot welds.

Did you also do the extension, or lower area of the drip rail where the seam is in the door jamb?
I'm guessing that would be a harder fix?

Syd, Yes I did also replace the extension. It really isn't very hard to replace either.It's not spot welded to anything just riveted. What was hard in my case is that the bird cage behind the ext was completely rotted out and that piece isn't repoed so I had too fabricate it myself.
