    FYI, I just came across an original alternator adjusting bolt, GM # 122017, as shown in my 1966 and 1963 AIM's.
    The bolt measures 5/16"-18 X 1" with a hex head. This agrees with your chart. The markings on the bolt are "R", "B", and "W". The bolt came with a 1963 alternator 1100628 dated "3 A 23" (Jan. 23, 1963).

      The specifications for the 122007 bolt that I found were from a Delco Remy Service Parts Catalog dated May 15, 1971.

        The book from which that page shown above came from used to reside on my desk and it had every standard part definition you could think of, except of course the special released bolts by the divisions, like rear spring hanger bolts. You can usually tell by the part number.

        You can't get any better than that...unless you have access to the rest of that book

          Actually the bolts are not plated at all just glass beaded and ready for plating. Yes those are my auctions. In my 30 years of restoring these cars I have found the grade 5 RSC bolt the most common for 66-67, this same bolt was also used for 67-68 Camaros. For 64 -5 I have seen the RBW Grade 2 more often. 68-up all indented heads, no need to change the part # as the bolt meet the same specs. It was just cheaper to produce the indented hex in the long run because of the cost savings in material. The height of the hex was the same.

              Over the past year 15+ some went for 50 a set. 2 years ago several sets sold for over 100. They are getting very hard to find now as the applicatin was very limited. Not much luck in junkyards anymore mostly in buying out old corvette specific shops is where you find them.

                Forgot to mention, last set sold 4 weeks ago this set has run 3 weeks no hits. It's always like that once I sell these (my last set) I'll have 5 people ask for a set. Most stuff sells offline to repeat customers.
