58 Bezels
Do the trunk and hood ornaments, ( Bezels?) have the black rubber gaskets underneath for judging? Thanks, Brad.

John, the aim shows lots of stuff that get's overlooked and vice versa, venders show gaskets as well as the aim I believe, I want a yes or no from someone who has had their car judged with them on and what was the result, simple. Thanks again, Brad.

Frank, thank you, am I, (all of us) seeing the gaskets on the aim as well as the vendor photos ( I'm sure ther the same) so why are they not supposed to be on the car's? Thanks again. Brad.

I have the original emblems from my '59 and they had gaskets as delivered. I see they're not mentioned in the JG, but a knowledgeable judge may ding you if you don't have them. If you get dinged for having them, drag out the AIM.
I'm assuming they are there to prevent water from getting into the trunk; not sure about the front, but it had a gasket too.

I have a 59. Just to clarify location, the seal, AIM E 3.00(rear) & 11.100(front), part# 3753163 seals the emblem at the backside/inside of the fiberglass panel on both front and rear. It is between the emblem outer rim and the FG, not the chrome bezel. You should not see the seal from the outside of the car.
In '08 I had my car judged, had them installed as described, and had no deducts........other than a 'condition' hit for the original rear emblem.
What you can get hit for is the incorrect fastening nuts. They should be a green color with 2 tangs for the installation tool. Not pal nuts or push nuts or machine nuts.
