Re: 66 Shifter
Ron,
I finally found my other shifter bracket screw (UPC 6-B6, item 12, GM 9419402) it was hiding in a box where I stored the old service replacement alternator, screwed into one of the alternator mounting holes. It's the same as my other shifter bracket screw, indented hex washer-face/flange-head, no grade marks, no normal headmark, just an odd circular mark that is not very distinctive.
I recognized it immediately, couldn't believe I'd found it- Top

Re: 66 Shifter
Something that may be a hint as to the originality of the bracked may be it's attaching bolts. If dealer installed, I would guess that the bolts are just typical hardware store type. I don't remember what the correct assembly line bolts were though. Possibly washer head??
Here's one from a '67, I just found the matching bolt a month or two ago, it's the same as this one:- Top
