Dick, Thanks for the explanation. Had this been made clear last August, there would have not been at least 3 threads banging on this topic for 8 months.

For sure inquiring minds want to know the source and that could have been printed up front. GM was the source, they want to keep it private who found this and where.

If there weren't inquiring minds just might be a lot less need for many other things in life.

All in all that explanation won't stop the quest for the ultimate documents

I'm not sure the database NCRS has does NOT contain information on other cars... Certainly, the order form requires that you be a member in good standing of NCRS to use the service.

But, the order form simply prompts for the model year and VIN number of the car you seek information on. It doesn't appear the VIN number is intelligently scrutinized and REJECTED if it turns out to be that of a non-Corvette vehicle...
