'65 Pitman Arm Socket Size

I need to buy a socket to remove the pitman arm nut. Can I get the socket size please? Thanks Larry

I believe it's 1 5/16".

1 5/16" is correct I just removed mine. You may need a pnumatic gun to get the bolt off it was very tight. You will nedd a puller to remove the pinion from the steering box.

Some of the auto parts stores loan tools for a deposit. Comes in handy to borrow sometimes instead of buying unless you want to increase your tool ownership.

Check out the "similar threads" below on subject of Pitman Arm Nut. Fit to socket seems to be an issue, at least sometimes.
