Re: Big block Ignition harness
John -- here's something that's always confused me about 1965 BB engine harnesses; why did the supplier not deliver the assembly to St. Louis in a "ready to plug" condition, rather than the factory having to cut, remove wire lead and add connectors to accomodate the TI engine harness, as all '65 L78 harnesses were T.I. Going by AIM UPC K66 Sheet 5 (for L78) ? I can understand where the instrument panel harness (pink/blk lead from ign. sw. thru firewall) would have to be modified for K66 as this one was the same for all engines.
I can see where, in other K66 years, modifying the non-TI engine harness is more factory efficient, as only the L72 and L71 were K66-mandatory, yet these BB harnesses were the same as for L36, L68 (and different but again the same for the C60 versions of L36 and L68), which were installed in non-TI cars, and made up the majority.
