      To clarify the 67 has washers welded on the one hole but not the plates welded on both holes.

        Keith -- I'm not a '67 expert, but I believe you should have the forward reinforcement washers shown in this TSB, and released (with washers) as # 3868799, in production. I believe it wasn't until the C3 era that they added the plate to each side of the bracket, to support both forward and rear bolts. This latter design also had the forward lip of the bracket removed. Others will probably revise my description, if I'm not correct.

            65-68s had the washer welded on the front.

              so will the original bolts be long enough to fit with the washers welded on?

                Yes the original front bolts is the same as the trailing arm pivot bolt. Early headmarkings are P, SB, and SBC.
