Anyone out there have a mid 70's documented car with a Power Brake Master Cylinder with the casting number 29969 on the side. I have seen a couple of cylinders with this number (including my 75) and I suspect these may be replacements but not sure. The correct Master Cylinder for my car should be 5460346. Is it possible that a second supplier may have build these for OEM usage? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, AL

I can tell for ABSOLUTE CERTAIN that any master cylinder with the casting number "29969" was never originally installed on any Corvette. Such a master cylinder is an AFTERMARKET piece. It's very possible that it was supplied in a Delco box, but it's not a GM-manufactured piece or a piece that was originally installed on a Corvette. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
