66 power steering shaft end play
Can any one tell me if it is normal for the power steering pump shaft to move in and out (with the belt off) about .100? I had it apart and resealed it. This seems to me to be too much movement. Thanks in advance.RS

I think the pump shafts on my 67 and 63 move in/out like you are describing.

It is normal for the driveshaft to have some movement in and out. I just can't find any specification on the amount. 0.100 inch sounds about right. No movement side to side though.
