i have a seal i'm trying to id. GM plastic wrap with #14079472-seal
GR.5.822-75D4

I found some old Delco boxes with rear spindel bearings, spacers. figure they must go with them somehow?

#14079472 seal is the rear outer wheel bearing seal for 1963 to 1982. It replaced #3794006 in 1984.

Yes, and I believe the difference between the two seals is that the 3794006 was a sort of "sandwich" type construction with a flat elastomer seal "sandwiched" between two steel outer plates. The 14079472 is a much more modern design using a lip seal somehow fused to the steel shell. The latter design results in considerably less "drag" on the spindle.
