Yes, I think John DeGregory described the pads as "frog pads". I suppose the term will stick but I don't see the connection.

John, "FROG PAD" was not my description, you were the originator of that term.
I'm with Michael Hanson trying to understood the connection to those fuel pump pads and anything remotely related to a frog.

My guess is that these raised areas reminded someone of Lily Pads, upon which frogs have been known to sometimes rest while they ponder the meaning of life. However, since I know Mr. DeGregory is WAY too busy building and repairing fuel injection units to spend any of his time pond-side and Thoreau-like while seeking wisdom through the natural world, it is not possible that he coined the term.
