Bill, I see your '72, nice! but on the mid year car. I can see why you do not want another or two green cars. Mossport and black is OK, but I think Dick is right on target with the green green combo, remember the mossport is a real subtle color, not like your very bright '72...

You can sell the original knock-offs and fund about half or the restoration.

For real???? I had no idea they worth that much ..... LOL


If I can get this to work out for me - I am not going to go the pure NCRS route. I will keep the restoration done with originality in mind (for look/feel), but I would never get the car judged. I really don't have the funds to locate and purchase all the real expensive mechanical parts. I would use correct looking/like parts, but not go crazy over dates and part numbers.

And honestly - I am so wore our from doing the 72' I don't know if I have it in me to do another fulltime 2 year project again

At best, I would keep the exterior correct (I do like it a lot), but change to black for interior.


If I can't work things out with the owner, is there anyone here interested in the car? If so, I be happy to provide the contact information for him. I am going to see him at a car show in Fort Vallley Georgia this weekend.

Sermersheims is now Lee Bumb Composits Inc. , DBA Shemersheims Fiberglass.
Phone number is 812 424-4701 and they are in Evansville In.
I am told that they are the same people making the same good fiberglass parts.
I also spoke to them at the White Pine, Tn.
