    Nylon Washers?

    I have been doing some work on my '66 L79 coupe, and have found 2 nylon washers, about 1/2 inch diameter, under the car on the ground. One was found under the left front quarter and one under the right front quarter. Any idea where nylon washers are used? Thanks for any ideas.

    Hello;
    What work has been done?
    Color, thickness, of the washers?
    Under the front of the rear fenders(quarter panels)?
    Under the front fenders?
    And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance

      I have been replacing spark plugs, battery, cables, voiltage regulator, alternator, wheels and tires, and light and antenna switch under the dash. The washers are white nylon, about 1/4 inch thick, with a black spray around the edges, and found under the front fenders just behind the front tires. Thanks.

        Hello;
        Sound like seat handle lock release handle washers from a '67.
        Were they possibly used to mount the previous Voltage Regulator?
        Try showing them to;

          Thanks, will do when I see him at the regionals. It could be they are from the old VR mounting. I replaced those with the proper rubber bumper nuts and bolts.

            Sure they are not rubber? The original well nuts for the regulator have round flanges with holes in them. Or probably an owner inspired addition under the regulator bolts.
