    "Corvette Enthusiast" Magazine Is History...

The print media publishing business is getting tougher every day; I was just notified by the publisher (Amos Automotive Publishing) that all their existing titles (Cars & Parts, Chevy Enthusiast, Corvette Enthusiast, Mopar Enthusiast, Mustang Enthusiast, and Pontiac Enthusiast) are being consolidated into one new title, "Auto Enthusiast", with an enhanced internet presence to allow more immediate dissemination of material dealing with news, events, columns, etc.

The Internet is a two edged sword -- it cuts both ways. Sorry to see "Corvette Enthusiast" go. I enjoyed it.

Ok, first off, no way I'm going to pay $$$ for a magazine that features F%&D products like the rustang!

The only thing that will redeem this is if there is a members only section of their website where I can pay to get access to everything I want on Corvette, Pontiac, MOPAR, etc. But no way I want to see it all.

What is the new site URL?

That stinks ! They have a great staff. A couple who live close to me and buy their cars Corvettes from me. Pretty tough out there for the print folks. I wish them all well.

The magazine staff didn't know about it until yesterday.

No, but it was a hobby/sideline thing for me anyway. Fortunately, Andy Bolig (was the CE Editor) was one of the few title editors who remain employed - he'll be the Technical Editor of the new "Auto Enthusiast" mag.

i used to subscribe to about 6/8 car magazines but have dropped them all because they turned into mostly parts catalogs and the deal of printing articles on pages that were color photos and for guys of my age 76 they were too hard to read. when they called me about my subscriptions i told them about the stories that were hard to read because of them being printed over colored pictures with white letters.

That's too bad. Corvette Enthusiast was one of the few that actually had people that knew something about old Corvettes, like John, writing for it. I am not interested in a magazine that's not dedicated to the Corvette and will let my subscription lapse.

Does that make the T-shirt I got for extending my subscription at Carlisle a collectors item?? How much am I bid, and when/how can I get my money back??

That's too bad. I really liked CE. It was my favorite of late. I got my new version of VETTE the other day which replaces the first of my last two issues I had coming of CF. I did not subscribe to it at Carlisle as I want to review the new version first. My first impression is that it is improved, but the jury is still out.

I thought it was just the Liberal print media that was in trouble --uuuum.

WoW, that's a shock. I really enjoied 'Corvette Enthusiast' I still have a year left on the subscription. It semed to be the one that was well writen, and just last month I learned that Corvette Fever is now gone with the wind also. Wonder where that's going ? Funny though, I just yeasterday sent in a check for 8 issues of a new Corvette publication, Called Magazine/Corvette ? Hum !
Each day is a gift, respect it, and enjoy it as if it were the last!

Corvette Quarterly, Corvette Fever, now Corvette Enthusiast. Sure hope Corvette Magazine is not next, it's the only sub I got left!
