John sorry to hear this. I only subscribed to the mag because you were on it. My service was intermittent and I ended up missing a lot of issues, unless they were stolen?
I was starting to read CF again when they signed on Doug Marion, I used to follow him 35 years ago on Popular Hot Rodding.
I have an attic full of vette mags since the mid 80's I guess I'm better off rereading them anyway( pre C4 issues)

Wow, that's somewhat hard to believe since it seemed to be the one that many of us liked best.

The odds of me subscribing to the new one? Rather small...

That's a shame John. It was the only Corvette mag I subscribed to.

Like the world really NEEDS another Motor Trend/Automobile......but it certainly does explain the recent REQUEST FOR RENEWAL 7 months before it would expire.
Also kinda sounds like "Auto Enthusiast" might just be to create a place where cancelled subscriptions can be funneled for "credit", rather than refunding $$$$

I get all of the Corvette rags, this one was the best (other than the Restorer!), this really bites.

The magazine staff didn't know about it until yesterday.
Yeah, talked to them (Andy and Mark) over the weekend (Carlisle) and not a mention of it. We talked briefly about the demise of C Fever...now this. It is unfortunate. I always felt it served the early C generations with great technical information. Glad to hear Andy still is on staff...great guy.

                Hi,
I'm sorry to see CE cease publication. It was the last magazine I received besides the RESTORER.
I've thought the Corvette magazines' content changed to follow the interest in Corvettes (and where/how the money was being spent) in the same way the content at Carlisle has changed and grown over the years. I have to say I spend my 3 days in a rather small portion of those 100 acres now. There is still plenty to keep me interested though.
I ALWAYS learned from your articles , John. Your potentiometer is the first electrical tool I made and continue to use.
                Regards,
                Alan

I am an original subscriber back to when it was Cars & Parts Corvette. I was out of town on business and walked across the street from the motel to a book store. I found Issue # 1 and subscribed immediately. I remember for being one of the first subscribers, they sent to you a stamp with mickey mouse in a 1953 Corvette, they actually sent me two of them. I still have the stamps and hate to see the magazine go away, I always enjoyed the articles by you John!

i believe the collector car craze is on its way out because the only people interested in the older cars are old people. if you did not lust after a corvette back in the 50s,60s and 70s you are not interested in those cars now. younger people are interested in modern cars with all the electronics which they can modify. JMHO.

                            So true,
But still for the hundreds of thousands collector cars there are still millions of people in the U.S and other places who have the opportunity to make a difference. My little boy(?) is 13 and absolutely loves the cars I have. He is and always will be an enthusiast. While hunting, fishing, sports are the things he likes he will almost always choose a car show over the rest(He went to Carlisle with me). Get them involved.

Bummer. I really thought Corvette Enthusiasts was one of the better mags on the market. Probably the high cost of the Hinckley articles that did them in.
Seriously. What a shame. The mag started off life as Cars and Parts didn't it? I really enjoyed CE.

I wonder the same thing. I gave my son his 75 when he graduated HS,but he's the only one in his age group of friends interested in old vettes. His buddies are driving the new Mustangs, camaros, and other cars. They out handle, stop,& accelerate better then any C1-C3 ever would plus pull down much better mpg to drive them anywhere. Most of them don't even like vettes as they're now becoming known as the "old man" car.
Have to had faith the cars will be handed down, but the value may change if the interest subsides in the future.
