    Corvette Fever Magazine Apparently Kaput

Got a postcard in today saying the October 2010 issue will be the last one published, and any remaining subscription issues will be filled by Vette Magazine.

Kinda sad for me, CF was the very first Corvette-specific magazine I ever bought after buying my 96 new.

Had already lost Corvette Quarterly, hope Corvette Magazine is not next.

Get used to it, my friend. This electronic box we all use is killing the print stuff.

          Hi,
Although I haven't read CF for more than a few years I have a boxed collection of old issues in the basement....including the beginning when there was a VetteMate each month.
The net has certainly changed publishing!
          Regards,

In cutting back myself, I chose CF over Vette due to their greater C-1 thru C-3 content. Vette has gone almost 90% C-5 and 6. I still had a few issues coming of CF which will now be the new thicker, better papered Vette. I will see then judge my continuation or not. They will have to go some to compete with "Corvette Enthusiast" and "Corvette Magazine". We'll see.

Both "Corvette Fever" and "Vette" are owned by the same publishing company; someone in the parent company probably asked why they had two separate staffs for two different magazines that covered the same subject.

                Nah.

I think that they probably realized that Colvin is a blowhard and Benford couldn't write a Tech article to save his life.

It will be interesting to see what editorial/writing staff makes the transition. I dropped my CF subscription about 6 months ago due to the above two, and would have a year ago if my wife hadn't inadvertently renewed it.

                    Nope.

I think it was originally from Florida, just like it is now, but with a different owner.

No offense but who cares? 90% of that rag was ads (same as Vette). There's only one mag. worth getting - Corvette Enthusiast. The rest are a 5 min. read and off to the recycle bin.

I saved these for the how to rebuild articles. But I have never actually used them during my rebuild. I found this forum much more useful.

Agreed. I have not even looked a a Corvette Fever magazine since the mid '90's. I always thought it was a waste of good saw logs.

So, is there one out there that leans more toward the older models? I know a lot of them focus mostly on the newer (C4-C6) models
