    Re: ebay 65 396

In the past ten years or so, I've talked to the owner of this vintage Corvette dealership three or four times. I have no connection or business interest with him.

Obviously, he is wanting to sell his cars, but he has been honest and straight forward with any question I have ever asked of him.
I personally saw no hidden or crooked issues. If he has documentation, he shows it to you.
If he had no docs, proof of judging, or other paperwork,....... he told you that also. It always seemed to me, like cars were priced accordingly.

As I see it, it's up to the buyer to make the value determination, and conduct any needed research, evaluation, etc.
Don't get me wrong, no harm in fellow members offering their commentary here. As a matter of fact, it's a major plus with this club.
Good carburetion is fuelish hot air . . .

Looking at the photo of the vin again, I don't know if it is a 9 or a 0 in the 4th position from the right.

From the data I've accumulated, it seems that the changeover was in late-January to mid-February of 1965.

As can be seen, the change wasn't immediate.

Dan -- what did it for me was the wrong orientation of the bowtie emblems on the seat belt buckles .

Patience, never in the heat of summer, never before The Dream Cruise, when it get towards late October and into the winter the deals abound.
