I am 10 minutes from exit 36 on I 82 in Yakima, Washington. Looks like you are going right by here, and I should be in town all month except for the B.C. chapter meet, 9/18.

Jack left this A.M. after spending 2 days while we got his car all squared away. I shudder to think what would have happened if that u-joint would have let loose in the middle of "Moose Butt, Wyoming".
For those that haven't met Jack yet, you're in for a treat. You won't meet a nicer, more down to earth person. His trip and stories are what most of us can only dream off.
Here's a pic. of him showing off his High Performance, Spandex driving shorts. (just kidding).

Suggest you start a new thread as I, for one, can't hardly keep up with you, i.e. my system is jumping dates and the post record is set up for a full 27' wide screen - or so it seems. Just a thought. Suppose you want to keep it all together for posterity, but it seems to be getting a little cumbersome.

Thanks Steve. Added it to my FAVORITES.

Being LABOR DAY WEEKEND, he is probably staying in Northern California somewhere quiet, away from the expensive tourist traps of the Bay Area, Monterey and South. I know he has planned a great ride down our coast to Southern California.

You were right, replaced battery as soon as I left Klaus , I am now on the Pacific Coast Hy. heading for Coos Bay OR.

I reached the Pacific on Sept 2, one month after I began at 4:30 pm PT

Made it to Redding CA
